CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 18.05.20

Both practices remain closed for face to face appointments as we still have no government guidelines on when we will be able to re-open or how that service will operate on a practical level.  Be assured that we are working behind the scenes to facilitate this as soon as we are given the go ahead in what ever guise that might be.  However, during the closure so far we have helped over 300 people with advice, antibiotics, denture repairs or referral to the urgent dental hub.  Please do call us if you need help on 07719908882. Don’t forget there is a self help sheet here.

Please assume any appointment that you may have had previously booked is cancelled and we will be in touch with all of those people when we are able to re-open and will prioritise treatments according to clinical need.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 09.04.20

Unfortunately we are still unable to see patients face to face and both practices remains closed. If you had an appointment booked in the coming weeks, please assume this is cancelled and we will be in touch once we are able to rebook it.

Our understanding is that the urgent dental care hubs are ready but awaiting the appropriate PPE.  This service will be on a referral only basis and will deal with only the most urgent of cases.

In the meantime we wish you all a very Happy Easter and hope you spend it safely at home.

We thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.

CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 26.3.20

Following advice from the Chief Dental Officer and British Dental Association, the practice is now sadly closed until further notice and we are no longer able to see patients for face to face appointments, therefore we are only able to provide a telephone advice service. We await further guidelines from NHS England with regards to the patient pathway and the locations of centralised urgent care hubs.

If you have a genuine dental emergency that can’t be managed with over the counter pain killers, please call 07719908882 and we will advise accordingly. This phone will be monitored between 9am and 5pm Mon -Fri. Outside of these hours please call 111 or the Somerset Dental Helpline 0300 1237691.

If you have a previously arranged appointment, we are sorry, but we will be unable to see and the appointment will be cancelled. Those appointments up to 17.4.20 should have been contacted by text or phone by now.

We apologise for any inconvenience but your safety and that of our staff is paramount.    Please stay safe and remember your social distancing. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Sending your kids in with Granny?

A person with ‘parental responsibility’ MUST either have attended the initial examination appointment or, if a parent is unable to attend the appointment with the child, a consent form must be signed to allow us to discuss and agree the treatment with the accompanying adult.
